That’s why we suggest our clients to have a look around, because maybe you get free parking very close. Alhamar Street, the parallel one above our street, has a blue line and you have to pay there because, so do not forget! In case you do not find any place, or you just want to be sure of having one place at your arrival, ask us and we will give you a discount for the cheapest and closer Parking in the city (6 minutes walking from Broz).

How to get to the Alhambra

We will show you how to reach the Alhambra walking, which is the best way to go in our opinion. It will take to you about 29 minutes. It is a highly recommended and beautiful walk through the city and the Alhambra Forest, surrounded by trees and fountains, and that is why we consider it the best way to access the monument.

Go to calle San Antón, then calle Reyes Católicos and when you reach Plaza nueva, go along Cuesta de Gomérez up to the Puerta de las Granadas. Continue up to the Pilar de Carlos V, and behind it you will find Puerta de la Justicia, through which you will enter the Alhambra.

When you have finished your visit, we recommend you go down through CTA. DEL REY CHICO, and you will end up at Paseo de los Tristes, one of the most emblematic and beautiful places in the city.

Where to go hiking

One of the most famous routes is LOS CAHORROS, Monachil. You will find waterfalls, pools and hanging bridges, and it is very easy and quick to get to (as you can get there by bus).

Go to the bus stop PASEO DE LOS BASILIOS (9 minutes’ walk from Broz), and take bus 183, and get off at the stop PLAZA DE MIRAFLORES. From here follow the signs on the trail which will show you the route. Don’t forget to bring water, sunscreen food and a swimming costume!

Best beaches in Granada

Yes, we have beaches! Here you got our favourite ones:

Beaches that can only be reached by car

Playa de la Rijana. Small cove with crystal clear water. We highly recommend going early, as it is difficult to park.

Playa de la Joya (it’s a cove, so you’ll need a car to get there, and although there is a nudist area, most people usually wear swimming suits). Then you can visit the lighthouse.

Playa de Cantarrijan. Nudist beach with crystal clear waters.

Maro-Cerro Gordo Cliffs. Natural Park area with waterfalls and crystal waters. The best way to discover it is renting a kayak! Limited parking so do not be late!

Beaches that you can reach by public transport (ALSA BUS)

Playa del Peñón de Salobreña. We recommend you to walk around the Old Town, visit the castle and eat in its beach bars and chiringuitos.

Playa de Almuñécar. You find a great atmosphere in the bars and chiringuitos on the beach, and you can also visit the village.

Playa de la Herradura. The best way to see it is to rent a paddle surf from Windsurf La Herradura and ride around all the little crystal-clear coves. You will find bars and beach bars.

Sierra Nevada

Only 30 km separate this white paradise from the centre of Granada. A 45-minute drive from the door of Broz Hostel.

If you are a snow-mountain lover, you are in the right place!

You can also get there by bus from the bus station, taking the metro from the Recogidas stop, just 2 minutes from Broz (*Check timetables beforehand).

Sierra Nevada, provides sunny days for most of the year. There is no bigger pleasure than enjoying the snow under the warm Andalusian sun.

Its altitude makes it the highest ski resort in Spain, allowing the snow to be preserved until the last months of spring, despite being the most southerly resort in Europe.

If you need any information about ski passes, activities, rentals or lessons, we will be pleased to help you, and also our friends from Escuela Técnica Sierra Nevada.
